It may come as a surprise but Fort Peck doesn’t have much ice on the east end even though the ice condition might be changing as we make this post. Ice is starting to form at the Duck Creek and Fort Peck Marina boat ramps making it impossible to launch, so maybe winter has finally arrived in eastern Montana…Brian Olson and the Captain caught some nice walleyes fishing Friday in open water, not hard water. A little unusual for January. They were using a minnow and a jig in about 10 feet of water. It was a fun day on the water.
