What You Need:

Twelve Fresh oysters in their shells (be sure they are fresh)

Parmesan cheese – grated fresh

Two cloves finely minced fresh garlic

Quarter pound butter or margarine

Two fresh lemons cut into wedges

What you do:

Wash and shuck oysters, reserving the large half of shell. Place one raw oyster on each large half of shell. Now put the large shell half with the oyster on a hot grill. In the meantime melt the butter and combine with the fresh minced garlic. Baste oysters while they are cooking with the butter mixture and sprinkle with the parmesan cheese. Now slow drizzle the fresh lemon over the oysters and the oysters are ready when they begin to bubble in their own juices. Serve on large serving plate with extra lemon wedges. You want to have more than a dozen oysters because they will really go fast.
