Big news this week was the Bear Trap Fire closed some fishing access sites along the Madison River. By Tuesday, BLM reopened some sites along the Madison. Then on Friday, Brett French reported the dry fly fishing upstream of Ennis was hot, to go along with even hotter temperatures.
There were lots of options for the Twisted Tea “Hot Fishing Spot of the Week.” For the second consecutive week Fort Peck Reservoir takes the cake. The Captain is back on Fort Peck, this week, looking to land some hogs! However, Noxon Reservoir, the Upper Madison River and Tiber Reservoir are all good options too.
In this week’s edition of The Eastern Montana Fishing Report, the South side of Canyon Ferry was fishing well. Wow, what a great time for anglers all around Montana. An almost endless list of good fishing.
