Glasgow Trap Club Will Host Free Youth Shooting Event on August 30

There will be a free youth shooting and archery skills event, on Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Glasgow Trap Club.

The event will include:

  • clay pigeons
  • turkey silhouette
  • air gun shooting stations
  • archery range

The event is open to fourth graders through high school seniors and registration begins onsite at 5 p.m. The field events will start at 5:30 and ends at dark.

Participants may bring their own firearms.  If you don’t own one, shotguns, ammunition, targets, archery and other necessary equipment will be provided.  Each station will be fully staffed by qualified instructors.

There will also be a BBQ and the meal will be free for participating youths.  Any hungry adults, will be asked for a donation to help cover expenses. A variety of prizes will be awarded to participants, and additional volunteers are invited to attend.

The Youth Day activities are co-sponsored by local chapters of:

  • Ducks Unlimited
  • The National Wild Turkey Federation
  • The Glasgow Trap Club
  • The Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks
