A Merry Christmas From Colonel Smoothbore

As we enter this week of Christmas, here are a few short thoughts from this slightly old codger.

First, I hope you and your family are healthy, and that they with you this Holiday Season. Gathering around the Christmas tree or joining hands at a holiday dinner table are some of the very special, very personal, and very memorable times of our lives. Enjoy them, and enjoy the memories of the smiles, elation, and happiness that come this season. For those of you who get a little, or a lot stressed; relax, just cool it, every detail will be fine. This is a fun time, have some.

Next presents; be thankful for what you have, and grateful for what you may get. Hugs, soft kisses, hearty handshakes, and pleasant conversation are some of the best gifts I have ever received. And Grandma Smoothbore offers this bit of advice. “In Montana, it is okay to pray on any day; after all, it’s a local call.”

When you see a soldier, sailor, airman, or marine, say thanks.

Next week we’ll get back to our discussions of firearms and their related subjects. Until then, Merry Christmas to all, and I hope the New Year brings you great joy and happiness, and much success.

Be safe and good shooting.
