HOLY COW (or deer in this case)!

Do you have a freezer full of venison, and you are trying to get creative with how you are going to use it?  Well, check out this FABULOUS meatball recipe I found on the website!

If you don’t like meatballs, it doesn’t matter, you will love these!  The original recipe suggested using beef, but I chose to use venison and……words can’t describe the end result.  I mean that in a good way!

Are you still not sure you want to try them?  The best way to know for sure is to give the recipe a shot.  Spoil your tastebuds, and see what you think!

  • 2 lbs. venison
  • 4 tablespoons  oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup  onion, chopped
  • 1 cup  American cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon  parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup  ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons  steak sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon  pepper
  • 2   eggs
  • 6+ slices  bacon, fried and crumbled (at least 6)

  1. Thoroughly combine all ingredients.
  2. Form into 24-30 meatballs.
  3. Place in a 9 x 13 pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes until browned and cook through.
  5. Yummy on meatball sandwiches with hawaiian barbecue sauce.
