This week of moonlight was a consistent layer of fluff to sift through down the slopes. When I say fluff I surely mean that light, soft powder that creates those smooth fast turns that bring out that ‘YIP YIP YAAAAA!’ to burst out of your joyful soul.
I was able to take some turns with long time buddies Adam and Trevor. Adam who I haven’t skied with since 2009 at Bridger Bowl and Trevor (pictured above) whom I have never skied with! Good friends, good snow and Moonlight Basin Resort, all of which are the ingredients to an even better day of shredding.
The storm last weekend accumulated 9 inches with another fresh 1 inch Monday morning. Tuesday added even more fresh snow and just today it was another 2 inches and it was sprinkling down all day long.
This weeks snow and mild temperatures are what the weekenders should like to hear! So if I were you, I would get up to Moonlight this weekend and ‘swoosh swoosh’ through that pow pow! If you are looking for the deep spots, my favorite run this week that held tough keeping the powder deep and soft was Marshal off of Lone Tree Chair – Check it out for yourself!
Happy Shredding!
