Join Montana Hunters and Anglers Action, and other sportsmen groups and supporters, on Monday when they rally, at the Helena state capitol at 12:00pm, in support of the Corner Crossing Bill that would open 900,000 acres of public land in the state!  This would benefit all outdoor enthusiasts in Montana, giving access to areas that are not currently accessible due to private property and other land restrictions.

The Missoulian posted an article yesterday explaining that the Corner Crossing Bill, HB 235, revises trespass laws to allow for “corner crossing” through private land.  The bill failed in a House Judiciary Committee vote on Jan. 30th, but on Monday, the sponsor of the bill, Rep. Ellie Hill, D-Missoula, will need 60 votes to get the bill out on the floor, and she is hoping to do just that.

There will be free, round-trip transportation that will bus people to Helena and back from the following locations:

  • MISSOULA: 9am – Grant Creek Travel Plaza
  • BILLINGS: 7am – Big Bear Sports Center
  • LIVINGSTON: 8:45am – Albertson’s
  • BOZEMAN: 9:30am – WalMart
  • GREAT FALLS: 10:15am – Big Bear Sports Center
  • BUTTE: 10:30am – Butte Plaza Mall

Montana Hunters and Anglers Action is a non-profit organization that promotes public access to public lands.  If you enjoy the outdoors in Montana, then be sure to check out this pro-active group of sportsmen and sportswomen!
