Lake Elmo will be drained 4 feet tomorrow because of some repairs to be done to the outlet structure. The damage to the outlet structure came from a car accident last year. The lake is already down because of winter and so this is the best time frame to fix the problem . The hope is that the repairs will be done within a weeks time. Bob Gibson of FWP says “by the time late next week comes around it should be full again.”
This will fix a problem that would have caused difficulties later on for those who use irrigation in the area and the lake.
