The Captain and Doug Stewart traveled to Glasgow for Saturday’s Walleye Unlimited Banquet. The day started out with the statewide radio show, live from the Cottonwood Inn, at 6am. Then, it was off to the Valley Event Center to meet folks, with 50 other exhibitors, from 9-3pm.
The banquet doors opened at 4:30, and dinner got underway at 6:30. They fed 700 attendees, in 39 minutes, a delicious meal of walleye and roast beef with chocolate cake for dessert.
Shane Rhoads is the President of the Glasgow/Fort Peck Chapter Walleye Unlimited. The chapter hosted this year’s state banquet and did a wonderful job.
One of the highlights of the banquet was the auctioning off of a Captain-autographed 2013 Best of the Best Guaranteed Lure. The lure, along with a $10,000 jig from Kit’s Tackle, fetched $525.
All and all, the banquet was a huge success.
