Hear the latest fishing reports for the Great Falls and Dillon areas, from the latest edition of the Montana Outdoor Radio Show.

Leonard from Roberts Bait and Tackle
Leonard from Robert’s Bait and Tackle says everyone’s paddle fishing. Holterwise, they’re catching quite a few trout out there. They’re starting to come into the LM Campground area in the bay.  Walleye’s been slow as of yet.  Piscan’s been quite. Bynum been getting a few trout and perch.  Francis, Tiber, and Fresno if the wind’s not blowing you can get on and you’re catching fish.  Down on the river, Northern’s been moving up as well as a lot of smallmouth.  If you have any questions or need rod & reel repair call Leonard 406-454-1877.
Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon
Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon says there’s a rumor of a 14lbs brown out of Clark Canyon Reservoir.  Reportedly there’s a picture of it at the Buffalo Lodge.  The fishing at the lake has been really good right now on black jigs like the Egg Sucking Leach Pattern. The fish are starting to stack up on the shore towards the dam. Folks been catching a lot out at the lake, and the river’s are still working well.  The squala hatch on the Bighole is on the tail end, but folks are still catching a lot of fish.  Redrock Creek is trying to get rid of cut trout so they opened it up and Shelby and his son caught 8 cut throats between 3-4 lbs.  Its shut down now, but it will open up each year now for the next 5 years, so a good place to remember for next year. If you’re in the Dillon area, stop into Rocky Mountain Supply for more information or call 406-683-2308.
