Road access to River Junction Fishing Access Site (FAS) and campground, near Ovando, will be closed from noon on Tuesday, June 11 through noon on Thursday, June 13 while a road culvert is replaced.

The Big Blackfoot Chapter of Trout Unlimited says the closure is needed so that crews can remove the existing culvert and replace it with a new one that will improve fish passage on Pearson Creek.

River Junction Road, an unmarked county road that provides access to River Junction FAS, will be closed to all traffic half a mile south of Scotty Brown Bridge. Access to Scotty Brown Bridge FAS will not be affected, and a closure notice will be posted near the road’s junction with Highway 200.
