A Woman’s Answer To The Call Of Nature!

Alright, I will give you a warning fellas, if you are squeamish about women and their bodily functions, stop reading now. This is one for the ladies who are just trying to benefit from all the advantages of peeing standing up that you men have probably been taking for granted most your life.

I was in the Ronan Sports and Western sporting good store last year, gearing up for a camping trip to Glacier when I saw this crazy device at the check out stand. It is called a Go Girl, and it allows for girls to pee standing up. I had to try it! Every respectable outdoor woman should clearly have the squat-and-pee down by now, but there are certain times when recreating outdoors, the squat just won’t do.

Here are a few instances when the good ole squat-and-pee fails us women.

1. When you are hunting from a tree stand: kinda hard to pee behind a tree when you are IN the tree!

2.Renting a fire lookout tower: last year we rented a fire lookout tower in Montana for the weekend that had 83 steps down to the base, and then a 100 yard hike to the outhouse. I started despising my husband for being able to just pee off the top. And no, it’s not safe to attempt the squat-and-pee off the edge of a lookout tower.

3.Flying in small aircraft: The plane holds five hours flight time worth of fuel, but my bladder holds three hours of pee. In the case that there is nowhere to land, boys can usually find a bottle and make it work, but girls are outta luck.

4.On a boat: If jumping in and warming up the water isn’t an option, this is another instance where girls get the shaft, or wish they had one.

5. Skiing or Snowboarding: Sure, the squat can be done if you can get far enough in the trees to hide your bare bottom, but it is hard work getting all those layers out of the way and hiking out through yellow snow isn’t fun either. Oh and did I mention its COLD!

Those are my top five, but here are a few more where some women might use the Go Girl:

Concerts-disgusting porta potty’s are not our friend when you have to sit to pee.

Camping-I personally prefer the squat if I can get away with it, but some girls just can’t get the spray down to a minimum.

For Fun-A “friend” once had a pee off using the Go Girl against her husband to see who could pee further. Guess who won?

Fine retailers across the state of Montana carry the Go Girl, or you can order one online at http://www.go-girl.com. If you are curious, here is where you can get your own:
