Chancy from Snappy’s
Chancy at Snappy’s says Middle Thompson doing well with kokannee.  Most are trolling 30-40ft of water, with small dodgers and serpentine.  Pike action has been improving also.  Kookanusa getting some good reports on kokannee around Rexford, mostly for those trolling or jigging.
DickeyLake has some good reports on small mouth bass, and a few small kokannee also.  Lake Mary Ronan’s still has good reports on perch.  LoonLake’s been really good for small and large mouth bass, as well as some decent pike, and nice occasional perch. Van Lake down the Swan been fishing doing well for rainbows.  Some guys have been using power bait and some are using small spoons and rapalas.  Lower Flathead  and the Clark Fork doing well on small mouth up to 5 lbs, and some nice big pike also.  So the top water action’s been good.  Fennon and Church sloughs been producing bass & croppy, as well as McWinneger Slough.  The main stem of the Flathead River and the forks have been a little tough with the hotter weather.  The East side by BrownyHiddenLake been hearing good reports on rainbows out of there.  Still some are fishing still Four Horn with some good reports on some big fish, just not many of them.  .

Leonard from Roberts Bait and Tackle
Leonard from Robert’s Bait and Tackle says Holter is still pretty much trout fishing with perch as well.  Piscan is starting to get a few Northerns as of yet, but it’s slowed up with the increased heat.  Bynum you can’t get a big boat in there anymore.  If you get in there, there are some nice perch to be had 11 to 13 inches and a few trout.  Francis you have to start from the East end for walleye’s.  The West end of Tiber has had a lot of eatin’ size Northerns.  Same as Fresno.  The rivers are so mossy they’re not producing much of anything.  If you have any questions or need rod & reel repair call Leonard 406-454-1877.

Shelby from RockyMountain Supply in Dillon
Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon says the past couple of days the weather kept folks home, but the Beaverhead is fishing well.  The Lake has been fishing well at the South end by Red Rock.  The Big Hole, if folks are going out they’re not talking.  Most of the people Shelby knows who’ve been fishing the Beaver Head well, have been doing it in the evening with dry flies.  There’s been a lot of antelope in the area for those scouting for hunting season.  If you’re in the Dillon area, stop into Rocky Mountain Supply for more information or call 406-683-2308.
