All Mountain Lion Hunting Closed in Hunting Districts In Regions 1 & 4

The hunting of all mountain lions in several Montana hunting districts in Region’s 1 and 4 closed on Saturday, November.9, 2013:

Closed to hunting of all mountain lions:

• HD 130 – which includes portions of Lake and Missoula counties.

Closed to hunting of all mountain lions:

• HD 400, 401, 403, 406, 415, & 441– which includes portions of Toole, Glacier, Teton, Pondera, Liberty and Chouteau counties.

These hunting districts will re-open for the hunting of all mountain lions for the winter season beginning December 1, 2013.

The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota or sub-quota for the district(s) had been met.
