Who doesn’t enjoy a campfire? There is something magical about watching the dancing flames and sharing stories. No matter how stressful life is, the flames and warmth of a campfire seem to make things more comfortable.

Stories and memories are shared around campfires that are rarely talked about. The drinks are always cold and the friendships are always warm. The sounds and smells of a campfire just make camping special.

gsoub2When life is tough, just remember those special moments when around the campfire with friends. Somehow, things seem simpler and easier. The stars in the sky seem to enhance the lights and stories around the campfires.

Here’s a great story to tell around the campfire.

Three cowboys were seated around the campfire out in the lonesome outdoor spaces. Pride was strong and special for these outdoorsmen. It was a night of bravado, rot gut whiskey, and tall tales.

Jessie from Middle River says, “I must be the strongest, meanest, toughest cowboy there is. Why, just the other day, a bull got loose in the corral. It had gored six men before I wrestled it to the ground by the horns with my bare hands and castrated him with my teeth”.

Tim, from Ohio couldn’t stand to be bested, “That’s nothing, I was walking down the trail yesterday and a 15 foot rattlesnake slid out from under a rock and made a move for me. I grabbed the huge snake with my bare hands, bit off its head, and sucked the poison down in one gulp and didn’t even get a belly ache”.

Montana Grant, the cowboy from Maryland, remained silent, slowly stirring the campfire coals with his manhood!

Maybe it is just time for a delicious S’More!

Enjoy,
