Montana Hunting and Fishing Reports 10/18/14

Seeing lots of successful antelope hunters across Montana and looking ahead at the opener of general rfle season next weekend. This weekend is traditionally a great weekend to get in one last fall fishing trip before your focus turns to rifle hunting. -Bill Brown at Bob Wards says area youth hunters have seen success on deer and ware fowl.
-Brett French Outdoor editor of the Billings Gazette reports on his weekly article and Georgetown Lake.
-Chancy at Snappy’s says area fishing has been great, and folks have been picking on Superior White Fish.
-Cindy Benson reports on The Fall Mack Days and says its’ progressing well with over 600 fish turned in Friday. For more info go to

-Dale from Don’s in Lewistown says the Fall weather is bring on excellent fishing.
-Justin from Westside Sports out of Malta says fishing Nelson has been good with night crawlers.
-Leonard from Roberts Bait and Tackle reports on his Great Granddaughter that had great success on a mulee buck. For area fishermen Francis is producing walleye.

Rob from Ronan Sports and Western says there’s been success off the point on the Flathead.

-Ryan from Bob Wards says in Bozeman Brown Trout are spawning and you can hit them on almost any river with success, and the Gallatin is having great results with purple machine. In Butte, the Big Hole is still producing. And in Helena Canyon Ferry Lake is doing well around Duck Creek and the Silos.
Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon says this year’s been great for youth hunters, and discusses this year’s “Hunters Checklist.” .
-Tammy from Northwest Sports in Eureka says area local youth hunters did great this past week.
-Woody from Woody’s Lures in Townsend says The Yellowstone and The Shields are doing well and the water is fairly clean.
