Elk Poached Near Sula – FWP Seeking Information

 Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks game wardens are seeking information related to the illegal killing of a spike elk off the Pasture Draw Road in Hunting District 270 near Sula on Friday, Oct. 31.

The elk was shot and left sometime between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. on state land.  Those involved may also have killed two other elk at the same time and retrieved those carcasses.  Witnesses saw three individuals loading one of the elk into a light colored pickup truck with Ravalli County plates.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668).  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to a conviction.
