Hunting:

We still have some migratory bird season open including Duck and Goose. Stop on in and get geared up for some cold migratory bird hunting—we have all the great gear to help keep you warm out in the field. Please review your regulations for specific details on the areas you plan on hunting or fishing. And make sure to bring pictures down of your successful hunts or catches and post them on our bulletin board.

Fishing:

Canyon Ferry: Ice has been pretty solid about 10” by the silos and plenty of fishermen. Ice is good from Silos boat ramp to about a mile down toward the duck ponds, there is an ice line there with newer ice but no one has been hanging out below the line. East side of the lake near Duck Creek is still a little thin about 5” or so, we’d recommend letting it thicken up but you can get into some Ling or Walleye once it thickens.

Holding Reservoir: has solid ice and people have been doing pretty well with Perch. Bites are infrequent but if you’ve got a day out on the ice you’ll have enough Perch for a good meal.
