This Saturday and Sunday the Adams Center will be transformed from a championship basketball hard court to an outdoor adventure experience where you can even see a wild African lion. “We are excited to be back in Missoula and this year we featuring a new wildlife show that I think families will really enjoy,’ said the Great Rockies Show promoter Bill Reier . It is the third year in a row that he has brought his show to Missoula and this year he has added Great Cats of the World Wildlife Show. “Highlighting the weekend’s entertainment is Great Cats of the World wildlife show, an educational show featuring a wide variety of animals such as Snow Leopard, White Tiger, Fishing Cat , Caracal and an African Lion”.

The Great Cats of the Wildlife show will have two performances daily and is included in the price of admission,” he said. Reier has designed his shows with the kids in mind with the always popular kid’s trout pond and the Yankee Joe’s Gemstone and Fossil Mining

“ If your kids love collecting rocks, fossils, and arrowheads then Yankee Joe’s enables the kids to mine gemstones and fossils”. There will also be a kids BB gun shooting range with the Rocky Mountain Elk foundation.

For hunters the big buck contest lets hunters show off their success in the field and have a chance to win a gift certificate. “Just bring in your horns, get them measured and we will put them on display for everyone to see,” said Reier.

If you have been dreaming about going to Alaska, Canada, Africa, or the Western United States on a hunting or fishing trip then stop by one of their booths at the show.

Learn how to tie a fly at the fly tying theatre then head on over to the wall of fish to figure out what fish you will catch with the fly you just tied. Expert Colleen Sloan will be at the show this year explaining how to cook foods through simple Dutch Oven Cooking

I will be there with my Montana Outdoor Radio Show (MORS) booth giving out the free 2015 Montana hunting date cards when you stop by and say hello. I will once again be featuring Montana’s only guaranteed fishing lures. It’s my 2015 edition of the MORS Guaranteed Lure. This year we are featuring a couple of lures from the Storm Lure Company. One lure is rainbow colored with sparkles on the body that will run 6-12 feet deep and the other lure resembles a perch and makes a rattling sound when trolled at various depths.   The lures are designed to catch trout, walleye, and northern pike and both come with my famous guarantee that you will catch fish or you get your money back. Plus this year when you buy both lures you may also have your choice of the new glass minnow walleye fry jig from Kits Tackle or a wally pop crawler harness from Macks Lures.

The hours of the show are 10am-6pm on Saturday and 10-4pm on Sunday. Admission is $6 and kids are free age 12 and under plus you can save a $1 on the admission price by clipping out the coupon in the Missoulian or on line at montanaoutdoor.com.
