The annual Montana Trappers District 2 Meeting was held in Missoula on Saturday April 18. FWP Biologist Ray Vinke and Regional Manager Mike Thompson were in attendance.
Ray Vinke presented the season harvest data of Fisher, marten, bobcat and otter and integrated recent otter research into the presentation as well.
Of note is that the source of the data utilized by wildlife biologists comes from trappers to ensure a sustained yeild harvest.
Based on the mandatory harvest data no furbearer quota changes are anticipated for the 2015-2016 season.
