Upper Salmon Weekly Steelhead Fishing Report (4.27.15)

The upper Salmon River spring steelhead fishery is coming to a close on April 30th, and this will be the last weekly report issued for the season. During this past week, angler effort was not observed in any areas except in location code 19, near Stanley. Anglers there averaged 11 hours per steelhead caught and did not report keeping any steelhead.

The Salmon River was high and off-color for the majority of the week and is currently flowing at 2,360 cfs through the town of Salmon, which is 111% of average for today’s date. Water temperatures were recorded in the mid to upper 40s throughout the week.
