Hunting:

Spring turkey and bear seasons are in full swing! Bob Ward’s is stocked with ammo, decoys, and everything you need. Plus, our Red Tag gun sale is still going with massive discounts!

Deer B, Elk B, and Antelope applications are due by June 1st.

Don’t forget to purchase your Super Tags before July 2nd for the chance to be drawn for a hunt of a lifetime!

Results for Bull Elk and Buck drawings are now available at www.fwp.mt.gov If you had a great season make sure to bring pictures down of your successful hunts or catches and post them on our bulletin board.

Fishing:

Missouri River: The Baetis are starting to explode below the dam by Craig and with some BWOs buzzing around we’re starting to see some risers by mid-day. Dry fly fishing is good mid-day with these risers try throwing some BWOs or Caddis at any risers out there. For sub-surface nymphing is still more productive, we’d recommend throwing some Caddis Pupas, Scuds, San Juans, or Czech Nymphs. If you’re in a boat don’t hesitate to try throwing some streamers toward shore and stripping them back, try throwing Zonker or Minnows.

Canyon Ferry Lake: Spring ‘bow fishing has started to take off and with leeches in stock Walleye fishing is starting to improve. Stick to jigs tipped with leeches or Rapalas for spin fishing; if your fly fishing try throwing some buggers or minnow streamers.
