Fishing:

Holding Reservoir: Snagging season started for salmon has started, so if you want to go fight some fish swing in a grab some treble hooks and a sturdy rod.  Its easy fishing that always results in a good fight.

Missouri River:  Mornings are a great time to be looking for risers with spinner falls and tricos hanging around.  Terrestrials like ants and hoppers are a productive option on warmer days.  Caddis and Adams are also very productive throughout the day.  If you’d prefer nymphing stick to the shallow depths with PMDs or BWO emergers.  Streamer fishing is always a good idea on overcast or windy days, try throwing some smaller minnow streamers or zonkers in pearl or white.

Canyon Ferry Lake:  Trout fishing is continuing to do well.  The morning and evening feeding times are continuing to produce for shore anglers with marshmallows and worms.  Those in boats are still doing well trolling cowbells with rapalas, or spoons at about 20-40 feet.  Walleye fishing is up and down as anglers continue to catch.  Bottom bouncing in 20-35 feet of water will produce with Colorado blades and worms.  When you find a school do a little jigging with local lure Kit’s Tackle Walleye Fry and you’ll be sure to pull out a few.
