Hunting:

Antelope general closes next week. Other than that check your gear list and pick up anything that’s missing or needs replacing at Bob Ward’s! Remember to double check regulations and sync your GPS with the latest maps.

Fishing:

Missouri River:  The Missouri has been fishing really well especially mornings and evenings. If you’re looking for some good dry fly action try the evenings with the baetis coming off. Guys are short leashing in the evenings with small mayflies behind a Pheasant Tail, San Juan worm, or Rainbow Czech.

Canyon Ferry Lake:  The morning and evening feeding times are continuing to produce for shore anglers with marshmallows and worms.  Those in boats are still doing well trolling cowbells with Rapalas, or spoons at about 35-40 feet.  Walleye fishing is up and down as anglers continue to catch.

Holter Lake:    Fishing has still been going strong for Trout.  Trolling about 10’-15’ deep with some firetiger spoons or cranks have been the ticket near Split Rock.  Several reports have said the fishing is pretty hot on Holter now so if you’re not catching some elk it may be time to catch some trout.

Helena Valley Regulating Reservoir:  Snagging Kokanee Salmon closing date is October 31.  Daily limit is 35 with 70 in possession.
