As all Montana elk hunters know, the work doesn’t start until the elk hits the ground. You may think it was hard getting to your hunting spot. But, it is even harder getting an elk out. After years chasing wapati, one Montana elk hunter took advantage of a long hike to bring home his first bull. After taking a “day off from work,” MORS fan Matt Ryan took full advantage of his time off. Bagging a bull after a fresh snow, lead Matt on a heavy hike back to the truck. But his hard work only made the harvest that much sweeter.
