Mule Deer and Elk Poached – Rewards Offered for Information

Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens are looking for anyone with information about a mule deer doe illegally killed over the weekend in rural Fergus County north of Lewistown.

“The doe was shot Saturday morning, Nov. 14,” says Kyle Andersen, FWP game warden in Lewistown.

The deer was discovered along Kendall Road near the old Kendal Mine and the K-M Scout Ranch, Andersen says.

Anyone with information is urged to call Andersen at (406) 366-2447, or 1-800-TIPMONT. Informants are kept confidential and rewards up to $1,000 are possible.

“The cow elk was shot between Nov. 4-6,” says Shawn Briggs, FWP game warden in Lewistown.

The incident took place along Tyler Cutoff Road south of Grass Range on private land adjacent to federal Bureau of Land Management property, Briggs says.

Anyone with information is urged to call Briggs at (406) 366-4800, or 1-800-TIPMONT. Informants are kept confidential and rewards up to $1,000 are possible.
