As hunters, we always try to be as prepared as possible for anything to happen while we’re out–whether it’s bringing along extra survival equipment, ammo, food/water, etc. I recently came across some horrific pictures one LiveLeak that are reportedly from Alaska after a hunter was mauled by a bear. This man was obviously was not prepared for what a bear had in store for him, and the crazy thing is–the hunter was expected to live, according to the post.
Now, with all the false reports and non-factual information on the internet, it can be tough to decipher what is real and what is not. I have only found the information listed on the top of the article regarding this incident including the photos, but these pictures sure are gruesome. There are news reports from other places involving what might be the same accident, too, from a few years ago, but no photos were attached. Either way, yikes.
True or not, recent or not, make sure you’re extra careful out there regardless of what you’re doing outdoors.
