Fishermen:

Warming conditions have a tendency to cause the fishing in the reservoirs to slow as they warm beyond the fish’s comfort level.  Flathead Lake on the other hand warms to a point that increases the fish’s activity level.

Polson Bay being especially affected the perch and small mouth bass fishing is ramping up.  The huge numbers of perch that spawned in East Bay have migrated throughout Polson Bay.

Best fishing around and off the docks at Polson…

…as well as, the points and bays on the west side of Polson Bay.  The pictures are of perch I picked up while fishing for baitfish at the North point of Maries Cove directly east of Doug Wolds Dock in a 15-16 foot depth.  A two hook setup with two yellow or green chartreuse flies above a light bottom weight will serve you well.  Tip the hooks with perch meat or night crawlers.

We are paying $.30 each for baitfish under nine inches.  For care of the fish you’d like to sell and the processing schedule give us a call at our store phone.
