Man Sentenced for Carving His Initials into the Roosevelt Arch in Yellowstone

And the battle with tourists in our National Parks continues!  On June 6th, Yellowstone park officials were tipped off that the Roosevelt Arch had been vandalized.  Dakota Tipton, 26 years old, of Texas had carved his name into the 50 foot arch that was laid in 1903 and designated as a National Landmark.  Tipton was sentenced to serve 3 days in jail and pay $250 for repairs and $40 for court fee’s.
