Rangers and officials are investigating an incident where tourists and lodge goers heard a gunshot come from the men’s bathroom of the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park last Wednesday. No one was injured and the shot is believed to be an accident. There was at least one other person in the bathroom at the time of the shot. A bullet was recovered from a wooden ceiling beam and a shell casing recovered from the floor. Guns are allowed in Yellowstone, but obviously illegal to fire off a shot inside a lodge. No one is being held as it is believed that the man fled the seen quickly after the shot.
