Mountain Lion Hunting Closures for HD 404, 421, 444, 450 & 132

The hunting of all mountain lions in Montana hunting districts 404, 421, 444 and 450, which include portions of Teton, Pondera, Chouteau, Cascade, Lewis & Clark counties closed at one-half hour after sunset on Sun. Nov. 20, 2016.

The order halting the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest sub-quota for the districts combined had been met.

These districts will re-open for the hunting of all mountain lions for the Winter Season beginning December 1, 2016.

The hunting of all mountain lions in northwestern Montana hunting district 132, which includes portions of Flathead and Lake Counties closed at one-half hour after sunset on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016.

The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for the district had been met.

This district will re-open for the hunting of all mountain lions for the Winter Season beginning December 1, 2016.
