Sometimes, we like to take details from hunts that people share for us to post on our website and write our own articles.  This particular story seemed too perfect as it was to rewrite.  So, here is the story of Hayden Gordon’s very first mule deer buck, told by his Dad (Billy Gordon):

This was Hayden’s 2nd year deer hunting. This is his 1st Mule Deer.

One shot from his Ruger at about 125 yds, after an hour of glassing & a 45 minute stalk. Second day of hunting in Blaine County with his Grampa (Judge) Perry Miller doing the “guiding”.

Hayden participated in the field dressing and dragging, with plenty of assistance from Me (Dad), Grampa Perry and Uncle Jimmy (Miller). Special thanks to momma CC (Crystal) for the moral support and passing on this buck so Hayden could fill his tag.

Also [special thanks] to good friend Jim Linder in Great Falls for the hand made loads that are as efficient and accurate as ever!

Excellent work, Hayden!  Congratulations from the Montana Outdoor Radio Show crew on your first muley buck!
