FWP is seeking information from the public about a bull elk that was poached in the Bear Paw Mountains.  The elk was found along Warrick Road on private land.  Nothing was taken from the elk and the entire carcass was left to waste.  The elk was most likely shot December 29th or 30th.  The Bear Paw area has seen three bull elk poached this season.

Anyone with information about the crime is encouraged to call Matakis directly at 406-262-2407, or FWP’s 24-hour wildlife tip line at 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668).
