According to the video owner’s sister upon seeing the herd in the middle of the road, the driver started to slow down and then braked, but his vehicle kept sliding. Because he couldn’t stop, he lifted his foot off the brake and did his best to steer around the moose. The situation could have been much worse had he slammed on the brakes.
