BILLINGS — Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is offering a reward of as much as $1,000 for information about vandalism on buildings at Lake Elmo State Park over the weekend.
A vandals painted graffiti on buildings along the north shore of the lake, causing thousands of dollars in damage and cleanup costs. Three buildings, including two bath houses and a storage shop, were vandalized.
Anyone with information about the vandalism is encouraged to call FWP Warden Sgt. Todd Anderson at 406-247-2945. A person also can call FWP’s 24-hour tip line at 1-800-TIP-MONT (800-847-6668) and qualify for a cash reward of as much as $1,000 for information leading to a conviction of the persons responsible for the illegal vandalism.
The 1-800-TIP-MONT program is a toll-free number where people can report violations of fish, wildlife or park regulations. Callers may remain anonymous. It is similar to the well-known Crimestoppers program and offers rewards for information resulting in conviction of persons who abuse Montana’s natural, historic or cultural resources.
