Based upon the review of the public comment, the Fish and Wildlife Commission will suggest the following motion for discussion at the meeting to discuss the Quiet Waters proposal to be held at Montana WILD, 2668 Broadwater in Helena on Friday, May 26 at 8:30 a.m. The commission table (click here) contains columns which describe the present regulations on the body of water and the modified proposal based upon public comment. This proposal will serve as the foundation for discussion, and the Commission may approve, deny, or modify the motion.

In addition, the Commission will also discuss the idea of forming a statewide advisory group to provide guidance to the Department and the Commission on managing motorized and non-motorized use of Montana’s waterways in lieu of approving or denying the modified proposal.
