Tis the season for finding some good fishing. A young Montana angler recently came close to scoring a new state record Smallmouth Bass. Hunter Collinsworth recently landed a 7.1 lb Smallmouth. Hunter, from Anaconda, hookeed into this PIG fishing Fort Peck at Crooked Creek.
According to his Dad’s Facebook page
“Hunter Collinsworth with a 7.1 lb smallmouth. Pretty close to a state record?????? Bass fishing has been unreal today.”
Unfortunately for Hunter the state record is 7.4 lbs. But, there is no doubt this is the trophy catch of a lifetime.
