Sgt. John Ordway of the Lewis and Clark Expedition

Time: Friday, July 21st at 8:00pm

Location: Outdoor Amphitheatre at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park

(Whitehall, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced the ninth edition of its Friday Evening programs will be held this Friday, July 21st from 8 to 9pm.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be on an expedition with Lewis and Clark? If you have, listen as independent scholar and actor Arch Ellwein brings Sgt. John Ordway to life in a first-person portrayal set in 1813. First Sergeant Ordway was the only member of the Lewis and Clark expedition to record a journal entry for every single day of the journey from Camp DuBois or Wood River until their return.

Actor Arch Ellwein has portrayed colorful historical figures in addition to Sgt. John Ordway of the Lewis & Clark Expedition, such as President Theodore Roosevelt, HG Wells, Steamboat Captain Grant Marsh and many others! Arch treats his audiences to an entertaining and intriguing perspective on history and we are happy to have him back once again.
