The Captain headed over to Fort Peck to fish for the elusive salmon on Monday August 14th. He fished with a number of folks including Jim Johnson from Hi Country Snack Foods, Guide Scott Sundheim, and the one and only DownRigger Dale.
For 8 days, the Captain didn’t boat a salmon. Then on the 9th day while fishing by himself after fishing from 7am he finally caught his first salmon of the trip at 5pm that afternoon, the 22.21 pounder. And to his surprise about 30 minutes later he boated his 2nd salmon a 21.51 pounder. It was a great way to end the day and the trip.
On Sunday while fishing with Jim Johnson they hooked a giant rainbow trout. That would of been a great fish to catch under normal circumstances but it did nothing to cure their Black Jaw Fever!
