Father and Son Drop Big Muleys on Same Day

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in the Koel family. Justin and his father, Todd, dropped nice muley bucks Tuesday on a hunt near Gardiner.

Justin harvested his 3×3 first with a one shot kill just after shooting light. The Koels kept glassing for elk in the high country after the deer tag was punched and came across another 3×3 muley with similar size and mass.

Todd took that buck with a 300 yard shot from his 300 Remington Ultra Mag. Not a bad day in the field.
