A whitetail buck was discovered poached and left to waste near Terry on Nov. 18.

The buck’s head was removed and the meat was left to waste on private property. Investigators believe the buck was shot the night before, said a Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks news release.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call Region 7 Warden Sgt. Chris Kerin at 853-7200 or 1-800-TIP-MONT. The release said people providing a tip can remain anonymous and if the information leads to a conviction the tipster may be eligible for a reward.
