Youth Ice Fishing Extravaganza – February 10!

Head to Spring Meadow Lake in Helena for a fun, fast and free introduction to ice fishing, on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018.

The event will feature hands on experiences such as; baiting your hook, choosing and setting up gear, drilling your own hole in the ice, using an ice scoop, learning how to read a fish finder and maybe even having the chance to catch a fish. This event is weather dependent, you can get updates on conditions by calling 444-9944 or checking the Montana WILD Facebook page.  Participants should dress appropriately for weather conditions.

Youth must be accompanied by an adult. No fishing licenses will be needed for this free 2-hour event which will begin at 10 a.m. at the main parking lot for Spring Meadow Lake State Park off Country Club Avenue. For more information call 444-9944.
