I recently read an article posted on NBC Montana about a raffle taking place to raise money for a youth baseball team, comprised of 7-9 year-olds, in Missouri for an AR-15. This has caused controversy with some because an AR was used in the tragic and deadly school shooting that happened last week in Florida.
The gun was donated by a player’s father who is co-founder of a local gun store prior to the shooting. The winner of the raffle would have to pass a background check just as they would if they were buying it from the store.
I, personally, would buy tickets for the raffle if I were in the area.
What are your thoughts? Would you still move forward with the raffle or succumb to the controversy and pull the gun out of it?
