A select number of roads will open to automobile traffic this weekend in Yellowstone National Park.
A limited number of roads and services will open for the season at 8 a.m. on Friday. However, a five mile section of road between Mammoth Hot Springs could be delayed until it’s safe to drive on, a National Parks Service news release said.
According to the release the following roads will be reopened to traffic:
• West Entrance to Madison
• Madison to Old Faithful
• Madison to Norris
• Norris to Canyon Village
• Norris to Roaring Mountain
• Mammoth Hot Springs to Willow Park
• North Entrance to Mammoth Hot Springs to Northeast Entrance (open year-round)
In addition to the newly opened roads, park entrance fees will be waived on Saturday to celebrate National Parks Week.
