Cougar attack kills one, injures another

The AP is reporting that one person has died and another person has been injured in a mountain lion attack in Washington state.

The two victims were reportedly mountain biking in North Bend, a town about 30 minutes north of Seattle.

The Washington Department of Fish and Game killed the mountain lion, which was allegedly found standing over the deceased man’s body.

The injured man reportedly called 911 at 11 a.m. Saturday and said ” “Can you hear me? Help!”

Washington authorities reported that there have been 95 injuries and 25 fatalities in the past 100 years from mountain lion attacks in the United States.
