Big fish are often called Pigs, slobs, hawgs, lunkers, or Monsters. They are sometimes nicknamed as “Old Fighter”, “Jaws”, and a variety of other names. No matter what they are called, Big Fish are Just Big Fun!

No fisherman starts off being a Master Pig Fisherman”. It takes some evolution and time to master the skills needed to routinely harvest Hawgs! There has always been a Fishing God that looks after rookie and kid fishermen. It seems that luck often shines on these anglers when they hook into Big Fish.

Some fishermen spend a lifetime waiting for a chance to net a PIG. Usually, the fish gets off, breaks the net, or ends in some mishap. Ironically, we tend to remember the ones that get away the most.

PIGS keep us fishing. The dream of catching a trophy fish drives us to take one more cast. They follow us as we sleep, haunt us when we remember the great battle that ensued. We can perfectly remember every detail about every PIG encounter.

One of the last conversations I had with my Father was about fishing. We remembered our youthful times trout fishing and catching PIGS. Even at 95 years of age, my Father’s memory was as sharp as ever. We witnessed our Pig Catching adventures together. He showed me how and now I show others.

We never catch enough PIGS. That is just the way it is. You don’t have to keep the PIGS, just the memories.

Catch a Big One!
