Rivers have stabilized from recent rains this past week. They were rising in levels somewhat & moving a little mud with the increase. The big Hole is too high to wade but bank fishing with streamers has been fair to good. Yellow & black or white/black have proven good color combinations. Salmon fly activity is slowing, however stone fly nymphs on dropper or a san juan worm is a good bet.
Ruby River levels are at fishable levels & nymphing below the dam has been good. The upper end of the river is still moving mud into the lake but is beginning to decrease. Bank fishing with night crawlers has been good.
The Beaverhead is running clear & nymphing below the dam has been fair. Streamer activity has been good this past week. Greyish scuds are a good choice. Lake fishing is on the increase. Leaded line rigs at Clark Canyon are showing promise with count down rapalas. The south end of the lake is crowded with bait rigs.
