If you’re still looking for the right time to hit the Yellowstone River, Stillwater Anglers  out of Columbus suggests you give it some time, still, as it is dangerous still as of June 25th:

Although on the drop after the surge from big rains in the country, it is still running extremely high and off color through Columbus. It continues to be dangerous and is best to stay away from completely. Search out lakes, smaller tributaries and tail waters until runoff subsides.
