Two antelope, one buck and one doe, were shot and left whole to waste on the Birney Day Road in Rosebud County over the weekend, according to Fish, Wildlife & Parks Region 7 Warden Jordan Straley.

The Birney Day Road is between Birney Day, which is on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation, and the Tongue River Road.

Straley said the animals were shot with a rifle, and likely killed within a day of Saturday, Sept. 29.

If anyone has any information about this incident, he or she is encouraged to call 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668). Information leading to a conviction may be eligible for a reward.
